The Department of Defense has been committed to the remediation of lands at both current and former testing/training ranges throughout the US, including both land and littoral zones. In recognition of the shortcomings of outdated technologies and methodologies, The Department of Defense’s Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) has invested heavily in the development and deployment of advanced technologies which support ongoing environmental remediation activities. This investment, funded by the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) and the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) has resulted in significant advances in both magnetic and electromagnetic sensor designs, as well as the advanced software which is critical to data acquisition and processing. The success of these programs is reflected in the deployment of commercial systems which have integrated the advanced sensors, geospatial location technologies, and data acquisition and processing techniques that represent revolutionary advancements for the UXO and DMM remediation mission. The Temsense™ sensor platform is the culmination of decades of DoD-funded research and development in EM sensor design, geolocation, and advanced data acquisition software.
The principals of the company have leveraged decades of experience in magnetic and electromagnetic sensing technologies to contribute to the development and demonstration of a diverse spectrum of leading-edge prototype vehicular-towed, airborne, and man-portable platforms. The Temsense™ man-portable platform integrates the product of our expertise into a system which provides the user with the ability to perform larger area survey operations at sites which do not warrant the use of towed arrays. The design of the Temsense™ assists in covering terrain which is uneven, or requires high mobility.
